What is Listening Party?

Listening Party is a free-to-read Puerto Rico-based music blog that covers emerging and indie artists from Puerto Rico and broader Latin America. It features exclusive interviews, album reviews, event coverage, and more.

Why did you create Listening Party?

The idea for Listening Party comes from a desire to have a forum where I can freely talk about music and artists that grab my attention (and ears) on my own platform. The blog, and everything published within, is fully funded by myself only. As it stands, I will earn $0 from it, so it is 100% a labor of love.

Why in English?

The simple truth is I write better in English. I communicate and express myself better in it, and if I want to guarantee the best quality writing, the only way I can is in English.

I consider Spanish my primary language, but I'm more eloquent in English.

Which artists will you be  covering?

I aim to cover and document new artists from all over Latin America, and of every music genre. Due to proximity and familiarity there might be a surplus of artists from Puerto Rico, especially at first, but I will endeavor to seek out and highlight artists from other countries with every update.
